The field of early education provides individuals with teaching opportunities in kindergarten or elementary schools. Teachers in these schools impart the basics of subjects such as math and reading. Kindergarten and elementary school teachers work in public and private schools. They generally work school hours when students are present, and use nights and weekends to prepare lessons and grade papers. Employment of kindergarten and elementary school teachers is expected to grow by 17 %. They earn an annual income of around $51,380.
